LIMG Albenga

Hi, Albenga is a small airport in Northern Italy, near the sea and holiday locations. It is used almost exclusively by general aviation planes, business jets and firefighting aircraft. Some days ago, some friends and I decided to book a short flight over the sea. Traffic is scarce due to the size of...

LIMJ/GOA Genova 6/8/11

Since I go on holiday near Genova, I organized to go there with a group of local spotters. During the summer season, there are lots of charters from Russia. 2 Tupolev Tu-204s, Red Wings and KMV http://www.golfvictorspotting.it/photos/genova/_MG_4599_060811.jpg http://www.golfvictorspotting.it/photos...

[19-07-11] Volandia museum, Italy

Hi, I've recently been in Volandia museum, a museum mostly dedicated to Northern Italy's aircraft industries (like Caproni, Aermacchi and Agusta). The museum can be reached by foot from Malpensa's Terminal 1. Here are some photos: Aermacchi M.346 (mock-up) http://www.golfvictorspotting.it/photos/exp...

LIMB Bresso 29-05-11: Goodyear blimp

The famous bycycle racing tournament Giro d'Italia is followed in the air by several helicopters, usually for TV recordings. This year, however, a very unusual aircraft followed the tour: the Goodyear blimp! For the last stage of the Giro in Milan, it was based in Bresso, Milan's general aviation ai...

LILN Venegono - Varese Airshow/Finmeccanica Senior Day

Yesterday, Finmeccanica organized a small airshow. The airshow was held on Venegono airport, shared between Aermacchi (which builds its trainers there) and the local flying club. There should have been almost all the flying machines built by Finmeccanica companies (Aermacchi, AgustaWestland and Alen...

Milan Orio al Serio (LIME) 01-05-11

One week ago I was in Orio al Serio airport because a friend had to catch a flight, and I stopped there some time to take some photos. The morning I went near runway 28 threshold to take some takeoffs. 1. Agusta A109A Carabinieri, MM81316 (CC-104) http://www.golfvictorspotting.it/photos/militari/_MG...

LIML Milan Linate 19/04/11

Hi, Linate, Milan's city airport, is always full of biz-jets, but during special events you can see even more executives! Last week there was the Salone Internazionale del Mobile (International Furniture Salon), and there were lots of biz-jets from all Europe. Even some unusual ones! Boeing 737-2W8/...

Re: MXP/LIMC Milan Malpensa - 19/03/11 [CIV]

Could you tell me from where the p.m. landing shots were made? How "safe" is that location? They are taken from a road that runs just south of the runways thresholds. Next to the road there is an unpaved path used both by pedestrians and bicyclers. You can recognise the spot easily, since there is ...

MXP/LIMC Milan Malpensa - 19/03/11 [CIV]

Hi, last saturday I went to Milan Malpensa airport in order to see an Antonov An-124 that should have loaded some Agusta helicopters (Agusta has its factory very close to Malpensa airport). Unfortunately, the flight was postponed to the next day, but I took some photos anyway. Planes landing on runw...

Re: Friendly Pilots

This is Milano Linate's most famous spotting point, very close to the main taxiway. You can often see families with children here, and pilots usually salute when passing.

Thank you :D Especially this one: [...] Wooooooow  what an image. Yeah, those rare clear days when you can see the Alps from the airport allow for beautiful shots. :) Cargo MD11 is taken out of the tower i presume??.... Yes. Lots of photos to present myself

Hi, I am an aerospace engineering student from Italy. When I was a child, my father used to take me to the nearest airport, Milano Linate, to watch airplane traffic. It's about a year from now that I'm into "serious" aircraft spotting. Here are some of my photos: Living few kilometers from it, my us...
