Re: Kecskeméti Repülőnap/Kecskemét Airshow 3/4 August 2013

Whilst we're on the subject of F13s, there was another (seemingly unmarked) example at the western end, perhaps north of the 12 threshold. When viewed from o/s the based, it looked to resting on it's nose.

Any offers on this one, please?

SUNDAY 4th

Can anyone help with the serial of the Austrian PC-6 that landed at about 1035hrs and departed an hour later please?

Also, did two Yak-52s flypast on Sunday? We saw two being prepared earlier that morning at Szolnok, but weren't able to read the serials.

Re: 14 July 2012 in Paris

Hi Niek,
Nice photographs.
If you were that gentleman in the red jacket, then your map coordinates are just one metre too far to the east!
..And if you were that gentleman, if was nice meeting and talking to you on Saturday.

Re: Req: info on spotting at the island of Samos (Greece)

Hi Frank, We've stayed on Samos twice. In September 2001 & 2010. Both times at the Samos Sun Hotel overlooking the airport. From there is a 30min walk into Pythagoria for an evening meal or to catch ferries to neighbouring islands. There is a supermarket next to the hotel and lots of non-aviation ru...

Re: Izmir 4-5 June - 100 years TuAF - Spottersdays

FWIW Both Mrs. Kipling and myself applied by separate e-mail address at precisely the same time on Monday 18.4. I received a reply on 15.44hrs 27.4, but Jacqui heard nothing. She sent a polite copy application on Sunday 8.5 and received an acceptance by reply on Monday 9.5. :fadein: So, if you haven...

Arie,
Many thanks for that. :D The University is just a little off route, so knowing it's worth the diversion makes the planning that much easier.

Re: Izmir 4-5 June - 100 years TuAF Wrecks and Relics

We're travelling to Izmir via Istanbul  . Can anyone tell me if the F-104 & Do.28 shown on GE at the University of Istanbul are viewable locally and the same question please concerning the F-104 at the Marmara Universitesi Goztepe Kampus. From GE I can't determine whether the facilities are 'g...

Re: NH90 NNLN05

Thank you Patrick. I am reassured that I and my friends saw what we thought we saw on those three visits. I was puzzled that the Scramble database mentions the first sighting as Feb 08 and the latest as last month. I'm inclined to think the first is a mis-interpretation, and there may have been a la...

NH90 NNLN05

Can anyone help with this puzzle, please? 3 independant reports of visits between late March and mid April 2008 to the Donauworth manufacturing facility report the cockpit / fuselage sections of NNLN05 as labelled 440193. Scramble database shows this a/c to have c/n 440175. Were these earlier sighti...

Re: Yeovil (EGHG) - 2009 MIL

Hi Cliom, The Algerians have order 6 AW101s. These are currently in production or flight testing. The Algerians have requested that Agusta Westland make no comment on the deal. They are in talks to buy a further 40 AW101 of which 15 could be built in the UK, with the remainder being assembled in Alg...

Re: Koblenz museum 17-01-09

Sorry Beagle. I missed your question. The Bo.105 was at the rear of the museum. I only noticed it as we walked away.
Approx. viewing position was 50° 22.131'N 7° 35.234'E. I can send you a copy of photos by p-mail if it helps.

Larissa

Hi Nathan,
Neil tells me that you've been passed a photo showing the three F-16s in the hanger at Larissa that you were asking about.
Are you able to confirm the serials please?
Thanks,
Freeman

Thessaloniki-Micra storage area 08.11.08

Should have mentioned  that I have a word document available that details the relative positions of the stored F-5s, if it helps anyone.
