NH90 NNLN05

Post by Freeman Lowell »

Can anyone help with this puzzle, please?

3 independant reports of visits between late March and mid April 2008 to the Donauworth manufacturing facility report the cockpit / fuselage sections of NNLN05 as labelled 440193.

Scramble database shows this a/c to have c/n 440175.

Were these earlier sightings the result of mass hysteria?
Has NNLN05 been reallocated?
Is there a simpler explanation?

Any enlightenment would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Freeman

Not a case of "mass hysteria" for sure! I just looked up my old logbook, and have written down NNLN005/200/440193, both with the nose and the fuselage. Note that this was written down in the factory, not afterwards. So if the number changed that happened later on in the production process.
Cheers,

Thank you Patrick. I am reassured that I and my friends saw what we thought we saw on those three visits.
I was puzzled that the Scramble database mentions the first sighting as Feb 08 and the latest as last month.
I'm inclined to think the first is a mis-interpretation, and there may have been a latter re-allocation.

A bit off topic maybe ....

Does anyone know if it is possible to arrange a visit to the Eurocopter factory in Marseille ?
