For now, I have one question remaining: what four SEM's flew the formation demo in the afternoon? If I remember correctly: -there were four SEMs on the east flightline: 6, 24 (Afghanistan-grey), 55 and 69 -during the display, I think I saw 24 still sitting on the tarmac -afaik, the display was flown...

I have 11 as no badge, 13 has a 11 F badge as has no. 3. 14 has no badge, but *should* belong to the CEV. SEM "14" is the first SEM that was upgraded to the "version 5" standard; that would make a detachment to the CEV logical. It had additional "Super Etendard Modernisé version 5" titles on both s...

Does anyone have (a link to) more information about the Journée Portes Ouvertes on Sunday 29th in terms of flying programme or static? The links above are a little sketchy. You are right, but that is all that is available on official websites and there doesn't seem to be a dedicated Open Day websit...

Re: corrections june 21st

The one at Leeuwarden had also US Army titles on the boom but also a roundel from an other air force (driehoek) on the boom, what country is this from? That's not a roundel of an airforce; it's the identification mark of the US Army unit this bird is painted to show. I don't know which one (I am no...

Is the G-HUEY really still the old AE413 from the Argentines.
Yes, G-HUEY was/is ex AE-413. The link you mention relates to a SECOND UH-1: G-UHIH/72-21509 (as it states in the caption  ); THAT bird is ex US Army only.

Both Leo vd. Goot and Jan Cocheret are real aviation enthusiasts; Leo used to be a spotter (recently went on a spotting trip to the US and Canada with a bunch of other die-hard spotters of about the same age  ) and is indeed the creator of the Skybound-series on Dutch tv. Jan Cocheret also is ...

It was on the move to the ILA at Berlin SXF, where it was parked in the helicopter-display area (western side of the exhibition side). On the Autobahn, it must have been travelling faster than during the time it was actually flying..

All we, the spotters, can do is behave well, promote the creation of legal alternatives and encourage the authorities to team up with us, not scare us away. Erik I agree with you; however, this has been tried several times in the past by the volunteers of the now defunct Schiphol Aviation Group: we...

I know the meant hole, and to my knowledge this fence doesn't belong to the Airport-perimeter fence but is "just" a fence around some building from RWS.Greets RicoS It is not; it is part of the total fence running along the A5 motorway; the RWS-building has a fence of its own that is linked to this...
