German Alouette II on the move

Post by Arjan »

Hi all,

On the 25th of may Polleke and I took on a small trip to Berlin and Laage for the spottersday and do some relic sites around and in Berlin.

On the way east we suddenly passed a car towing a trailer with an Alouette II mounted on it, also travelling eastbound. This was on the Autobahn 1 near Hannover.

See pictures below for details.

cheers, Arjan

It was on the move to the ILA at Berlin SXF, where it was parked in the helicopter-display area (western side of the exhibition side). On the Autobahn, it must have been travelling faster than during the time it was actually flying..
