Re: Yorkshire Air Museum, UK.

Great news. The line-up at Elvington grows more impressive every year. Will you be there to record the arrival (for us) :?: Would love to see pictures of that

Re: T-33A land op Twenthe 26/3/10

This is the last comment i will make concenring this case. Jan I don't know about the legalities either, but thanks a lot for your detailed information on the backgrounds of last weeks events. :respect: It highlighted a lot about the European licensing system and the status of Twenthe airport that ...

Re: T-33A land op Twenthe 26/3/10

 As someone stated in the "Praethuys" section of this MB: the best thing to do would be to confiscate the aircraft, give it a paint job, register it PH-TEE and deliver it to either the KLu Historische Vlucht at Gilze, the Dutch Hunter Flight at Leeuwarden or the Dutch Historic Jet Association...

Hi Rob,

slow it might be (quantity-wise), but that is more than compensated by the quality of visitors and photographer! Nice shots!

Re: T-33A land op Twenthe 26/3/10

Well, how about that  ... there's still life in the airfield! Would the pilot be old enough to remember the T-birds that, in the old days, were based there with the Jachtvliegschool :worship: ? More importantly: anyone got any pictures? Or an ETD? Link to newspaper item (in Dutch): http://www...

Re: 1944 B-17G Flying Fortress "Pink Lady" stored untill 2045

35 years to restore an aircraft? I know spares are hard to get as well as funds, but this seems an awful long time.. Who says "REstore"? Propwash mentions "STORE". It is put in storage so it will be (hopefully) be around in an airworthy state with enough life left to mark the centenary of the end o...

Yes there is! Please do! Best location for that thread is in the W&R section of this board, where I for one would keep a lookout for updates. Thanks in advance.

Anyone for the two B757w's or E190/195's with dark tails and white fuselages that departed from runway 24: the first at around 11.20 lt and the second around 13.15 lt? I was staring into the sun from Hooffdorp and Hoofddorp railway station at these times...

Re: Woensdrecht EHWO 11-03-2010 Base visit

Unfortunately, the Fokker area is the responsibility of Fokker, not the RNethAF. AFAIK, the Air Force PAO had asked in advance for permission to enter, but this was declined by Fokker. Too bad, but not the Air Force's "fault"; they did a good job! Fokker is very strict about (non-)access and is not ...

Spot 14: je mag er dus wel KOMEN, maar niet PARKEREN. Dat haalt dus niet uit wanneer je niet met de fiets bent. "Another spot bites the dust", om Queen te parafraseren (and another one gone, another one gone, another one bites the dust!) :|
