Re: HDR Tryouts

Hi Dino, at first: great shots anyhow! For what HDR is concerned: nice to experiment with this tool. Normally, like said before in this topic, you take several shots with different setting and then create a HDR out of it. But nowadays PS/LR has a built-in HDR tool so you don't need to do that any mo...

Re: Mińsk Mazowiecki, home nest of polish Fulcrums (EPMM)

A very imposing aircraft combined with a even more imposing photographer, results in top quality...That's the way to shoot it!!! Beautiful action, close-ups and artistic (nr 33 with HDR?) very well done!

Re: SHOOTING ON BASE...Gilze-Rijen 1973

Very little is written about activities on the South Light Aircraft Strip (LAS) at Gilze-Rijen. This grass area situated in the far south easterly corner of the airfield, between runway 02 and the wooded area. It was controlled separately from the main ATC-tower by a mobile tower with call sign “Sie...

Re: Phantoms

Welcome to this web Ton! Long time ago since we stood at the fence at Soesterberg! Sixties, seventies, eighties for us the best time ever! I really changed my life like many others. Ton can you confirm the date of the WS63638, according to our site http://www.sberg-sixties.nl/SBJul71.htm he visited ...

Re: Tribute to the A-10 'Warthog'

Again from my side some 'historical' pictures of the A10. Now 81TFW Bentwaters/Woodbridge . Six Squadrons were active here beginning 80thies with more than 70 aircraft! These shots taken at Bentwaters in the very beginning. The first camo's were noted also and look at the solid fresh grey shelters j...

Not much is known about the final fates of the Azor’s and C-54 pictured above. From the book Spanish Mil Aviation written by John M. Andrade 1977 I copied: C54 T4-7 > EC-BXJ > 9Q-CHT 1980 C54 T4-13 > EC-BXL > ? C54 T4-14 > EC-ZTK > EC-BQH > ? C54 T4-15 > EC-ZTL > ? C54 T4-17 > EC-ZTN > EC-APE > ? C...

Re: Request: Old Soesterberg Movements

Hello Gerard, the K681 was seen at EHSB19-8-1980 in vip colours (wht). The other one's are not known to me, but my log is far from complete... We will be working the site you mentioned for the period 1980-1989. I'm very interested in your logs of Soesterberg to add them as well by the time were are ...

Re: Tribute to the A-10 'Warthog'

One of the most memorable polar spottertrips was to Nordholz in Northern Germany Friday 19th of January 1979. Coronet HOOF was planned to bring 18 A10’s of 355TFS/354TFW MB for a three week deployment to the base (ending February 14th). Leaving early that day because KING Winter was in charge for a ...

Re: SHOOTING ON BASE...Gilze-Rijen 1973

These shots are the last one's for 1973, I hope you liked them. This report is far from complete of course, but anyhow it gives you a impression what was going on in the South!

Re: SHOOTING ON BASE...Gilze-Rijen 1973

As said before the era of the Fokker S11 Instructor came to an end. The pictures were taken just before 11 of them came airborne for a farewell flight to KLu airbases. Sept the 10th the E6, E9 and E14 made the very last flight during an official ceremony.
