Re: Paris Airshow: die euh..."bijzondere KC-46 tanker landin

Anything except respect. They indeed should have aborted their final approach and should have gone around. This shows quite reckless behaviour jeopardising safety of crew and aircraft. It is even more surprising no reverse thrust has been used after such a long landing.

Still 20 S-208M are in service with 60 Stormo at Guidonia. One of them is on loan to the Squadriglia Collegamento at Milano-Linate and is regularly exchanged.

Re: Radom 25-26 August2018

Speaking about the M-346, nothing is known yet whether they operate from homebase Deblin or they will be temporary based somewhere else (Minsk). The M-346 formation will consist of four aircraft. A similar formation can be seen over Warsaw in the middle of August.

Re: Deblin 15/05 MIL

Hi Chris, Yesterday I was on base and I can confirm the Sparks TS-11 “9” as 1715. I was told that this particular aircraft will be retired by the end of this month as it runs out of hours. In the afternoon also M-346 7703 flew. I have also seen an SW-4 flying but I don’t know which one. The SW-4 fle...

Polish M-346 deliveries completed

After a delay of one day due to storm over Poland, the final two M-346 "Bielik" were delivered to Deblin on 30 October. With a interval of five minutes, M-346 7701 and 7708 took off from Venegono around 14:30 for a one hour thirty minute direct ferry flight to Deblin. Whereas the first five M-346 ha...

Re: Radom Air Show Poland 26/27 August

Yesterday afternoon, two Polish M-346 left Venegono to Radom. Both M-346 have their Polish roundels and serials removed as both 'Bieliks' are not yet handed over to the Polish Air Force. In theory these aircraft are still owned by Leonardo and therefore not allowed to cross the border with any forei...

Re: First Polish M-346 'Bielik' jets delivered

Elmer, Nice coverage on the Polish M-346 arrival in Deblin. Some additional info on their pre-delivery flights. The second M-346 7702 was part of the certification programme and flew multiple flights together with the CSX55209 in October. CSX55209 was still unmarked except for a Polish roundel in th...

Re: IAF A-4 "fly-out" 15th May

Until now 10 M-346's have been delivered to Hazerim. Number 11 has undergone a compass swing today but no serial applied yet. If the engine tests are satisfactory this particular aircraft should make it's first flight next week. The 10th M-346 has been delivered in the second half of March and wears...

Re: Unidentified flying objects in Varese Italy

Good evening Carl, Looking at the exterior of both aircraft there is not much difference but when you look at the color of the the grey paint and the painted surfaces there are differences. For example when you look at the rudder, the M-346 on your picture has been painted whereas M-346 CSX55172 has...

Re: Unidentified flying objects in Varese Italy

Hi Carl, It seems like the primer M-346 on your picture is not CSX55172. On the website Airliners.Net you can find a picture of CSX55172 in primer during landing at Venegono and it is way different. A new M-346 with M-346 titles on the tail has been seen at Venegono recently which will most probably...
