Re: Florida Road Trip Feb/March 2023 Civ\Mil

Last visited airport on the second day was Fort Lauderdale Executive FXE. It was my first visit at that field (I'm not big on bizjets), but I was impressed by the stuff I saw there. Lots of Britten Normans, Sabreliners and other aviation gems. Plus, they have really nice aircraft spotting area. It w...

Re: Florida Road Trip Feb/March 2023 Civ\Mil

Another new airport for me was Fort Pierce FPR - looks like boneyard for bizjets. My highlight was MD-83 which flies/used to fly for Congolese football team. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52733180217_6c10991f7e_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52733958094_9833d0d071_b.jpg https://live...

Re: Florida Road Trip Feb/March 2023 Civ\Mil

Next morning started the day at Melbourne Intl airport MLB. Several aircraft at the MRO and what looked like Allegiant's new special colors on A320. About 6 USAF T-6 were getting ready to leave but I didn't have time to stick around. Both B727s were unshootable. I've tried from 3 different sides. ht...

Re: Florida Road Trip Feb/March 2023 Civ\Mil

The last airport for the day was Titusville Space Coast Regional Airport TIX. They have decent museum but I had no time to explore it. On the west side there are 7 Cessna 337 Super Skymasters which belong to Airscan. Most of them used for parts. If anyone requires regs here they are: Airscan Inc 337...

The next stop was New Smyrna Beach Municipal Airport EVB. Not much going on in there.

Florida Road Trip Feb/March 2023 Civ\Mil

Hi Guys, I did road trip from JAX to MIA and on the way stayed at few places and visited total of 9 airports. I'll start with day 1 at Jacksonville Intl Airport. Visiting 5 Alabama ANG F-16s (one went unread), 3 Army St. Pete HH-60s and 1 Navy TH-57. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52725383280_9...

At least you've got the pink Azul. I was camping for 3 days at FLL and didn't get it.

Re: Michigan Road Trip - Jan/Feb 2023

Last visited airport was DTW. Before returning the car I went to see what aircraft was hiding in the fire training area (tail was visible from the terminal). It turned out to be Detroit Red Wings DC-9-50. Looked exactly the same like the time I've photographed it for the first time 14 years ago :) h...

Re: Michigan Road Trip - Jan/Feb 2023

Last stop before dropping off the car at DTW was Willow Run airport. Not much has changed since the last visit week and a half ago. My two gems which I was happy to get were USA Jet Falcon 20 in new colors and MD-80 in the "old" new colors :) https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52699668245_7de6ee0a7...

Re: Michigan Road Trip - Jan/Feb 2023

On the way back home I stopped again at Pontiac airport to see if the ramp lineup has changed from few days ago. I was happy to see two 727s and 3 CRJ-F. Re: Michigan Road Trip - Jan/Feb 2023

Next airport was Alpena Regional, located 45 minutes north of Oscoda. Not much action over there, but they have an official aircraft observation area. The only airline serving that airport is Delta once daily from Detroit and once from Pellstone MI. The ramp had two Islanders and 5 tons of snow :) h...
