As far as I know, the other bases open the 13th of June are some Army Barracks in Kurmark (Führungsunterstützungs Batallion 381), and the Navy base of Eckernförde. So not aviation related.

Is this confirmed, a rumour, or wishful thinking?

There won't be a lot of F-5's flying, part of the fleet is grounded due to cracks which were found in the wings of some F-5's. All F-5's have to be checked. CAP will be done by Hornets from Meiringen, and by those F-5's which have been checked already.

No, one F-16 from AV was shot down over Bosnia or Serbia in 1995. Later, in 1999, another US F-16 was lost over Serbia. In the first Gulf war, several US F-16's were downed.

That CS-TMT isn't BAF anymore. Last weekend it had Saudia markings.
