Hello,

@ Peter, great shot of the B-57! I wish I had it.... When we were racing my friend in the back got it in take of, I was hitting the brakes.... ;-(. Ennuh Piet, het is me het torentje wel ja....
Day 2 at Nellis was not to good, most a/c came in on the left site but we managed to get some shots anyway.
The H-60's flew a lot of missions.

Altough not officially confirmed, your HH-60U 10-20322 probably belongs to 422nd TES.

(scramble wiki says: From 2011 on, the US Air Force operates a limited number of CSAR modified UH-60M's (Increment 1.5) as MH-60M. They will be modified to (Increment 2) HH-60U.)

Aha, thanks Dennis. We where hoping for some sort of special Groom Lake a/c :( .
After Nellis we went to Yuma the next morning but there was not to much activity (and we were unpatient).

We heard nice stories from El Centro so we where there soon. First some Blue Angels flew (pitty of the short daylight time).
Image

Image
Soon after the BA stopped activity got high!
Image
Helicopters camer and left.
Image
More then a dozen F/A-18's took off!

RAF Chinooks were active too!

Nice pics guys. Still going through 50Gb of pictures myself. The tower shots are always nice.

Hoi Patrick,

Were we sitting next to one another one the way out from base (driving with Ben)?

Cheers,

Sebastiaan.

little trip US. Day 8, from Yuma to Oregon (Photo).

Post by stipjes »

He Sebastiaan & Antilian. It was nice 2 meet U2! In july again ;-)? I photoshop the pics a bit to fast it seems, not all the colours are 100%, sorry for that. Last Friday the 3rd we started at Yuma in the hope to catch the KD TAV-8’s and we managed. We also caught some visitors.

From Vegas we flew to Portland. The B-17 is preserved in the south of this city in Oregon. Tomorrow more on Oregon.

On the last day of our trip we visited the splendid Evergreen Museum south of Portland in McMinniville. In total there were 90+ a/c there.

On the other site of the road is a storage area. The T-39 is one of them.

At the Portland IAP seven ORANG F-15’s were parked outside. Unfortunately 7 F/A-18’s came in.

I hope you liked the trip report. 9 nice days of wrecks, relics and operational aircraft.
