Time for a 707 update

Image

Kingdom is not an airline (or cargo company). This was actually Micheal Jackson and entourage on tour

If you want to see the 707's militairy sister in action there is now a KC135 topic. Some of the more exotic militairy examples are however real 707's!!

This brings back memories! Four Holy Smokers :D

By the way, most of the pictures are shot at the road parallel to Runway 24, which is now known as the Sierra Apron. Can you image that spot ADZ?

PapaK, Can't when until you upload "the Michiel Kousbroek Seven O Slides"... but take it easy.

René

Taken by my late uncle somewhere in the 70's. It has Schiphol written on the slide but I am not sure. Anyway.... there is a nice Pan Am 707 in the background of this SAS bird.

Hi all

That Pan Am 707 looks like Schiphol to me so thanks for adding.

While looking through my collection for IL76's I also found a new bunch of 707's to add here.

This Saudi Prince was rumored to have a connection with Fokker. This 707 was parked in front of the factory (when it was still open) for several days.

The EHAM/AMS 707 topic to the second page...!? impossible!!!

So finally  a 2nd contribution from me to this wicked topic to get it back to the first page where it belongs :worship: :

I will call my contribution - Part I of The "Plantenbak" Files :flowers:
Talking about 707 airframe "19843"

Most of us remember this one as Zarkani's SU-DAC, wfu EHAM 31-07-'93 and dep almost 3 years later (04-03-1996) to EBOS as SU-PBA, flightnr. MPS999 (Air Memphis, now MHS).
That monday "she" t/o from good old RWY 01L..., and I took a day of from work and was there to watch it!
- No pics - weather too bad, I'm afraid - :rain: I've got 1 shot taken at ER0 (East) that day - I will scan it later this week and show it to all ya classic lovers...so stay tuned for that!

Today, exactly 10 years ago, so the 10th of March 1998...
this 707 crashed in t/o from Mombasa-Moi International Airport, Kenya
as Air Memphis SU-PBA

For the whole story, check tis link:

http://aviation-safety.net/database/rec ... 19980310-0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

So on this special day I show you some pics taken on Monday the 18th of July 1994 when "she" turned into a so called "plantenbak" after almost one year of storage in front of Hangar 11... (thanx to Curtiss 8) too :takepicture: )

Enjoy: (and remember these pics are scans from ordinairy 10x15 photo's
and slides)

Hi there, all you classic lovers...

Another one from me...

Before I continue my "Plantenbak" files... Here 4 pics taken at that same beautiful Monday the 18th of July 1994 at ER0 (Schiphol-East).
The Luftwaffe 707 "10+03" (c/n/ 19999) old c/s, bringing the German President, I believe... We we're lucky to watch the jetstart & pushback up close...

Thanx again Curtiss :picture:

Enjoy (and remember these pics are scans from ordinairy 10x15 photo's
and/or slides)

Memory Lane revisited... I used to work at Avia Trading at East during a long hot summer (1988 or 1989), loading and unloading these beauties with beans and (very young) chicken... what a noise those little critters could make ;)
