Op Luchtvaartnieuws.nl staat nu te lezen:
DRIEBERGEN - De Indiase luchtvaartmaatschappij Kingfisher Airlines vliegt komend najaar mogelijk ook naar Schiphol. Het snelgroeiende bedrijf van biermagnaat Vijay Mallya vangt in september aan met internationale lijndiensten. Op het programma staat een rechtstreekse vlucht tussen Bangalore en San Francisco. Een andere vlucht, van Bangalore naar New York JFK, zal mogelijk een tussenstop maken in Amsterdam.

Mallya liet afgelopen week tijdens de Farnborough International Air Show weten dat de vlucht naar JFK niet per definitie non-stop zal zijn, wat wel het geval is bij de verbinding met San Francisco. Kingfisher heeft in Nederland een aanvraag ingediend voor start- en landingsvergunningen. Op de route tussen Bangalore en New York, mogelijk via Schiphol, wil Kingfisher vliegtuigen van het type Airbus A330-200 inzetten.

Kingfisher vangt de internationale expansie in september aan met vluchten van Bangalore en Mumbai naar Londen. Ook staan lijndiensten van Mumbai naar Hongkong en Singapore gepland.

De luchtvaartmaatschappij heeft een groot aantal A330-200’s, A340-500’s, A350XWB’s en A380’s in bestelling.

Effective sep 3rd EVA will stop flying 747-combi and will start with 777-300 :wink:
Niets maar dan ook niets is zeker in de luchtvaart

Don't know about that. Since Eva will cut the Tuesday flight 2 September, it's not a surprise they put some extra capacity on the remaining flights till the end of October (425 pax in 773 versus 272 pax in 74E). During the winter the 747 will be back, and also in December they'll be going back to 4 flights a week.

I tried to book a flight for November and the involved aircraft type on this flight is a B777-300.

Well, you know, nothing changes as much as aviation ;) so we'll just have to wait and see :)

In 2010 moeten ze allemaal weg zijn volgens Eva Air, dat heb ik gehoord van hun zelf, en nog maar 3x. Misschien kans op een Freigther?? :P

This winter several Transatlantic routes will see a reduced frequency due to the difficult economic climate and lower demand.

The new NW/KL Portland-AMS-Portland flight will be the first to step down. From 1 October until March 2009 the route will operate 5x/weekly - i.e. daily but not on Tuesday and Wednesdays.

Eva Air B777-300 zoals al eerder genoemd confirmed, er zal geen extra freighter service komen...

Miv winterdienst zal BELAVIA met B737-500 3x per week Minsk-AMS vliegen..
Er wordt gevlogen op MA,WO,ZA
