I read somewhere that 60 slots is 1 flight a week, but now I read 44 slots for some airlines and 88 for some of them.
Is there any explenation for this ???
In the summer timetable 60 slots is 1 flight a week...
Summer timetable is from end of march to the end of october. That is 30 weeks.
For 1 flight you need an arrival and a departure slot.
So for 1 flight you need 2 slots... . 30 weeks x 1 flight x 2 slots is 60 slots......

The winterseason is from the end of october to the end of march. Thats 22 weeks. Even here for 1 flight iyou need 2 slots (arrival and departure)
So 1 flight a week is 22 weeks x 1 flight x 2 slots is 44 slots...
It all depends on how long the period is how many slots are standing voor how many flights a week. For the winter, 44 slots is one flight a week.

I am sorry for the bad english, I hope I maked it clear to you

Talking about EZY. I tried to book for december on their EDI-AMS and return but keep getting 'not available after 25th of October 2008' error although their program is now loaded in their reservation system and it still shows it in their timetable.

So what's going on? Are they stopping Edinburgh after 25th of October or some weird booking system error?

Thanks

As of now it looks like KLM is still heavily adapting their schedule.

The planned 5th weekly frequency on KL561/562 to entebbe will most likley be shelved.

Due to the entrance of BA in the market. KLM will keep KL873/874 to hyderabad at 5 weekly instead of last year's 6 weekly.

KL605/606 to San Fransisco will be operated daily with MD11 equipment instead of the planned B772.

KL617/618 to Detroit will be operated daily with A332 equipment instead of the planned B772.

KL693/694 to Toronto will continue to operate trough the winter, albeit with a A332 on a 3 weekly basis.

Only flights to/from BRS, EMA, NCL and MAN are available for bookings. All other flights will be available later this month.

No, I think he meant flights from BRS, EMA, NCL and MAN in general (to all the existing destinations), so not to AMS.

Hello all,

According the latest slot requests, Kingfisher likes to open a daily flight from Bangalore to JFK via Amsterdam and back:

IT 003 A332 1234567 0940-1100 BLR-AMS-JFK
IT 004 A332 1234567 0800-1030 JFK-AMS-BLR

Open Skies also requested some slots for flights to JFK:

EC 021/022 B75W 1234567 0750-1135 JFK-AMS-JFK

Let's hope for the best.

Oké, i hope this is the last time we have to tell this:

:loud: Requesting a slot DOES NOT MEAN an airline is actually going to use these slots....

Now pinch yourself and wake up from the dream you're in....

Kingfisher is gambling on multiple horses.
But I hope, IF there will be a new flight to JFK that it will be Kingfisher.
(With Jet Airways prices  )

Right now, the Kingfisher slots are no longer visible in Slotcoordination. So no Indian carrier for Schiphol I guess...
