I heard that this years 2017 Frisian Flag will be the last one held. It seems (what people told me) it has to do with the transition to the F-35 "Lightning II" in the upcoming years.

Another great exercise nearby gone (after TLP at Florennes).

As far as I know this is only for two years, during the transition to F-35.
So if my info is correct, the next Frisian Flag will be held in 2020.

Best regards Rob

I do hope you are well informed. Then, 2020, it will be a Frisian Flag with dutch F-35's. But only time will tell if your info was right.

From what it known now there is indeed no FF in 2018 and 2019.

That map can't be right. Designated spotters area (in blue) on the Jelsum side is tiny.

Are the no go areas on the map only valid during the FF itself? or also during the arrival of the F15's?

Thanks!

I would take it as for FF but id be wise and adhere to them even during F15's arrivals so as not create any problems during FF.
