MP monocular - can they still be bought ?

Post by widmeister »

I had one of these monoculars which were always very popular and available in the Netherlands. It was the Russian monocular which came with two different lenses (12x and 20x I think). Since then I have lost it when my bag was stolen and I'd like to know if this excellent monocular is still available. I've looked on the web without much success.

Can anyone tell me if they can still be purchased as I would like to get a replacement ?

Hi,

One of these ?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/russian-monoc ... Sw7FRWWGeI

If so, I have had two stolen over the years.... They often come up on here with both lenses. However that's the most expensive one I've seen listed.

Good luck!

That is expensive but yes, that's the one. Maybe I should keep an eye on ebay for others appearing.

I am happy that I still have mine, still does the job perfectly :D
It does not look factory-fresh anymore, which is due to the fact that, in a long distant past, it was used as a multi-tool (e.g. to hammer tent-pegs into the ground) :worship:

Ik heb in het verleden nog zo'n Russische kijker bij een particulier in leiden gekocht .... Adres toen gevonden via het internet. geloof dat ik het 1e exemplaar toendertijd in de oude scramble shop bij de brug had gekocht.

Tip: ga eens kijken op de Beverwijkse bazaar . In de hal waar ze 2e hands spullen verkopen, kan je af en toe nog die oude kijkers kopen.

I found one on ebay for half that price from a trader in Ukraine with good ebay reviews. I have ordered this so let's see.

In the above link, the German trader, have a look at the postage costs. Standard international for 19.50 and estimated delivery 3 March - 15 March.
DHL delivery much less at 11.90 ane estimated delivery 27 February.
Haha. What's that about then ?
