The following countrys of that list are not involved at Libya (hope its correct).

Austria / AusAF 1JTS 3x Saab 105OE
Czech Republic / CzAF 211 Sqn 4 x JAS-39C Gripen
Czech Republic / CzAF 221 Sqn 2x Mi-24
Germany / GAF JaboG 321 3 x Tornado ECR
Germany / GAF AG 51 4 x Tornado IDS
Greece / HAF 335 Sqn 4 F-16 Blk 52 (has sent only 2 aircrafts to Libya)
Poland / PoAF 6 ELT 5 x F-16 Blk 52
Portugal / PAF 301 Sqn 4 x F-16 MLU
Switserland / SwAF 11 Sqn 5x F-18C/D
Turkey / TuAF 192 Filo 3x F-16 Blk 50
Slovakia / SlAF 1 sqn 2 x MiG-29

So I think is "sure" that these countries will join the NTM. And the list is still long. :)

Spanish F-1's for me but have to agree, if all these turn up it will be a good event!! Does anyone have any information on arrivals day regarding the parking situation? Last year at Volkel was superb with allocated areas but my understanding is the Gendarmes are not so spotter friendly!! Sadly i cannot attend the spottersdays! I have the excellant Scramble guide to Cambrai but wondered if anyone had more info. Any details on expected support a/c appreciated also although I know its still early!

Can anyone tell me how close to the runways we will be on the spottersday? Will a 300mm lens get me close enough for a full frame shot?

Thanks for the information.

Spottersday info

NATO Tiger Meet

Registrations for the NATO Tiger Meet spottersdays will end on Wednesday April 20th at 18.00 CET time.

Dear NATO Tiger friend,

Registrations for the NATO Tiger Meet spottersdays will end on Wednesday April 20th at 18.00 CET time.

There are still tickets remaining for the 11th and the 17th May spottersday, and some (until now) unpaid tickets for the 16th could come available in the beginning as well.

If you have already ordered a ticket for one of these days, and would like to order one for another day, this is no longer a problem, we have lifted the 1 ticket per person limit.
Simply follow the same procedure as you did before.

Unfortunately there is also the bad news that due to operations in Libya we have received a few more cancellations this week. After NATO’s 1 Sqn and Belgian 31 Sqn this week Netherlands 313 Sqn, Norway 338 Sqn and UK 230 Sqn have joined the list.

To end this post with some good news, we are receiving the first pictures and drawings of those specially painted jets for NATO Tiger Meet 2011, and there will be some beauties to be spotted, that is for sure.

Regards,
The NTA team.

Today's NATO news:
The NATO Secretary General, Mr. Anders Fogh Rasmussen, travelled to Lisbon today. During his visit he met President Anibal Cavaco Silva, Prime Minister José Socrates Carvalho Pinto de Sousa and Minister of Defence Augusto Santos Silva.

If he talks the Portugese F-16s into the Lybia campaign, they might skip the TigerMeet too

It would appear the Rafale’s have cancelled their participation from the TM.  Hardly surprising seeing as they are involved heavily in operations against Libya.

Not the end of the world though, as will be around for years and I would personally rather see a Mirage or Super E’s any day!

And the real kick in the nads......

Spanish F.1’s, down to attend week 1 only now!!  Doh!!

Hopefully no more bad news with just a few weeks to go.

So, in a summary – here is what we still have to look forward to:

3x Saab 105 – Austrian AF
4x JAS.39 – Czech AF
2x Mi-24 – Czech AF
4x Tornado ECR GAF
3x F-16 Hellenic AF
4x Mirage 2000 RDY FAF
3x Mirage 2000 B/C FAF
3x SEM FN
2x AB212 Italian AF
5x F-16 Polish AF
5x F-16 Portuguese AF
3x EF-18 Spanish AF
5x F/A-18 Swiss AF
2x Merlin HM.1 RN
3x F-16 Turkish AF
2x MiG-29 Slovak AF

If you got that info from the participants list, it says '1 week only' rather than 'week 1 only' so it doesn't specify which week they'll be there in that list.

The list is still impressive but I hope nothing else cancels due to the Libyan conflict. This conflict is really starting to cause some frustration with all the cancellations. Personally I was really hoping to see the Rafale's.

With the attending aircraft that are now on the list does anyone know how many will have the special Tiger paint on them?

I have seen a few pics on websites from squadrons that have cancelled that had really neat paint schemes on them. It's too bad they had to cancel.

Would have liked to see the Rafale's too ! But if all the others will show up, still a great event. However the Mirage F1 's only being around for one week... Nasty sh.t

Me too! Kleine Brogel's paint scheme was a nice one and I was hoping to see the new one.
