rogerb,

would it be possible to photograph the written-off Ryanair 737? From a public location I mean.

MTIA,

Richard

you can see this 738 from near the general aviation terminal, but watch out for police, photographing is not permitted at this airport, police is checking very well! if you still want to try, try the village called Ciampino only 5 minutes by bus from the Ciampino terminal (street name: Viale di Marino) near the airport fences!

I guess I missed something...what has happened to EI-DYG? Why is it written-off?

Hi all,

short log of a visit to CIA at 24-10-2009:

G-EZTD, 320, EZY
EI-EBT, 738, FR
I-UUNY, Ce500
I-FXRC, P180
I-DAKO, Falcon 900EX
EC-HRO, Ce550
N59AP, G5
EI-SFD, Ce510
G-EZFD, 319, EZY
EI-SFB, Ce510
EI-SFA, Ce510
I-PREE, P180
I-GGLA, Ce560XLS
EI-SFC, Ce510
I-ALVC, Bae125-400XP
I-PNCA, Ce550
N808T, G5
I-BLUB, Ce650
N37WX, Falcon 50EX
I-DDVF, Falcon 2000
N732HB, Bae125-750
G-JMCL, 733F, Air Atlantique
G-HEBJ, Ce525
LX-GET, Falcon 900EX

Also present N606TW, 3 A319CJ and several Falcons of the Italian Air Force. Also landed later that evening a SV 747SP, but I was unable to read it off as I was leaving alrready by bus back to Rome-city.
Despite the presence of Italian police and military at CIA, I've had no problems reading off the parked bizzers.
Be aware of the fact, that CIA might be hard to get to due to poor infrastructure.

Regards, Roger
