Re: F-35 Lightning II developments

I presume you mean BF-71, because BF-70 is 169595 and is already flying for some time now.

Re: F-35 Lightning II developments

Hans, typo from my part in setting up the list. Sorry about that. Your LRIP X data is correct. So F-35B LRIP XI will start from BF-71 as you stated and F-35C will start from CF-36 as you also stated. Israeli LRIP XI jets are indeed AS-16/21. Wow, I really messed up things last night :-). So the only...

Re: F-35 Lightning II developments

Another question. LRIP XI jets are cranking out now. Anyone has some info on the last LRIP X jet that still has to be seen being the last Israeli jet of LRIP X?

Re: F-35 Lightning II developments

If this is true than something might get a little clearer in the total FY setup of LRIP XI. BTW, it's not the Norwegians ending on 5301. Norway has 5288 till 5293. As you know we were also surprised with the Norwegians starting at 5288, which doesn't add up with USAF having 53 jets in LRIP XI. USAF ...

Re: F-35 Lightning II developments

Now it is getting really nice concerning the FY allocations for the different air forces. Norwegian #5288 (obviously being 17-5288) has flown yesterday (February 8th). Even if we would abolish the 3 airframes that were supposedly added to the LRIP X contract and we would skip the Italian airframe no...

Re: F-35 Lightning II developments

What about the LRIP 10 FY2016 Congressional Aid package (nov16)? F-35A: 44 + 3 F-35B 9 + 6 F-35C: 2 + 4. the Aid package probably (but I cannot be 100% sure now) will be FY16 F-35A 3 F-35B 6 F-35C 4 Still don't know where these jets are. Is this the first one of the Congressional aid package and wi...

Re: F-35 Lightning II developments

15-5196 spotted at NAS Fort Worth and also 15-5200 with a first flight on November 10th, 2018. Noted is that 15-5200 is adorned with a 421st FS patch on the tail. To my knowledge this squadron wasn't disbanded as a F-16 unit yet. Any news on that?

Mark B. wrote:Will the Belgian F-35s be built at the FACO Cameri production line?
I presume they will yes. Although it might well be that the first ones come from Fort Worth since they will stay in the US for the first 5 years.

Re: F-35 Lightning II developments

The Belgian defense secretary has published the delivery schedule of the Belgian F-35s. The first 4 will be delivered in late 2023 with another 4 in 2024. Those 8 will be stationed at Luke AFB for training purposes until 2028. In 2025/2026/2027 another 4 jets will be delivered, in 2028/2029 another ...
