Re: 2030: Luftwaffe Tornado jets likely to be replaced by F-

Personally I think that the F35 will perform great in the early stages of a conflict against a high tech opponent. Later on when it becomes prolonged rough and dirty, other jets might perform as well or better agree! ( ...something with ''gulf war'' and ''tornado losses'' .... :? ) Maybe some old J...

Re: F-15A Gets Special Paint Livery for Aviation Nation

Ah yes. I saw they changed it. And my comment was purely factual (as this is a spotters forum and such..) and in no way diminishes the memory of those who perished in this tragedy.

Re: 10th CAB helicopters heading for CONUS

Rumours suggest this to be the Steinweg comapny at the Professor Gerbrandy road in Rotterdam harbour (coordinates 51.896175, 4.287124), but this hasn't been confirmed. I can see no NOTAM suggesting a temporary restructed airspace around that area neither. So we have to wait and see ;-) Is the locat...

Re: 10th CAB returns to CONUS

If I get the location of Steinweg at the Professor Gerbrandy weg right, there is a park opposite the river called "Park De Lickebaert". This is on the other side of the Nieuwe Waterweg between Vlaardingen and Maassluis. Location Steinweg: 51.895767, 4.287052 Location park is roughly at 51.901063, 4....

Re: 10th CAB returns to CONUS

Will there be a temporary NOTAM around the area in effect? If yes, this might give some clues w/ regards the location. I tried searching but found nothing as of yet.

Re: 10th CAB returns to CONUS

In the other thread the Steinweg company is mentioned. Which would make it at the Elbeweg 101 in Europoort. Not official though (as the original press release does not explicitly mentions this.) Also unknown to me when the first choppers come through.

The helo's will fly into Rotterdam port
That will be 10 CAB returning home, not 1 CAB.
We might have to split this topic then ;-)

Some posts on the FB page of Eindhoven airbase suggests that are is some stuff inbound today. It's all a bit vague (it reeks off "people in the know know stuff etc. etc. But let's not go there..) but there might be some things aloft next to the alreadymentioned stuff. Re: Europe Oct 2017: Fort Hood 1st CAB 1st Cav. Div. to come

According to a post in the Facebook group of Rotterdam - The Hague airport (see: https://www.facebook.com/groups/rotterdamRTHA/) stuff returning from Germany to US will route via Eindhoven AB - Rotterdam harbour - US. I do not have an official source for this (although the text seems official..) so ...

Phantom

Gefilmd vlak voor de uitfasering van de F-4F. Met een vlieger die zeker jonger is dan de Phantom die hij vliegt ;-)
