Re: 10 ex RoKAF Hawks sold

I would question the accurancy of that list.

For example, 67-515 was w/o on 05/12/11 and there never was a 67-516.

Re: REQ: seoul airshow/osan airpower day

Thanks for the info Uni, I didn't know the T-birds were carrying out a PACAF base tour this year.

I see dates of Sep 18: Kunsan and Sep 21: Osan are given for their display's in Korea.

Re: REQ: seoul airshow/osan airpower day

25th - 27th September?

That's quite early for them given the public airshow at Cheongju is a month later...

Re: Dubai Air Show 2009

what would you rather see? An USAF F-22 or a UAE AF F-16C? Or a Pakistan AF prop? All of them! The point is the show billed itself as having the F-22 as the headline act so it's not good when you get there and it's so stealthy it's nowhere to be seen! I talked to a few people today that were hoping...

Re: Dubai Air Show 2009

And no F-22 today. So annoying when a show build's itself up on something special to see and it's only seen for one day. Apparently USAF says they cannot spare the aircraft again (6 on detachment in the UAE) until the last day on the 19th.

Fail for USAF PR machine!

Re: Seoul Air Show 2009

For the record, the Andover was built for the RAF and was desgined as a transport version of the HS.748. Marked C.1, the CC.2 version was the RAF's VIP transport which is essentialy an HS.748 (same as ROKAF version) Only in RAF service were these called Andover's.

Re: Seoul Air Show 2009

Just to clarify. There were no DC-6 or Andover's at Seongnam. The presidential flight preserved aircraft is a VC-118. The other 2 are C-54 Skymaster's (like a DC-4). The one to the left of the G550 is not preserved, it's an airfield decoy. We were just lucky that it had been moved from its long term...

Re: Daegu(RKTN/DAE) 2009 MIL

The preserved F-4D is: 40931

At the main gate the numbers are:
T-33 is 35134 (TR-134)
O-1 is 16944
T-37 is 60902
F-86 is 13207

There are only 2 official F-4D decoy's in the revetments. The rest are retired airframes that in the future will go to museums.
