I've read that Airbus considers going at it alone now, so there is still a possibility that the USAF will operate KC-330's in the future (although I have to admit that it's not very likely anymore).

Unpopular thought: the actual participants probably couldn't care less if we percieve this years edition as "poor". It's valuable training any which way you put it.. Valuable yes, but not as valuable as alternative exercises that attract more participants in both numbers and diversity. We'll see ho...

Aren't those Steadfast exercises primarily focused at the nuclear deterrent instead of conventional interoperability like Air Defender?

I think the whole point is that Putin wants to show his people what happens with traitors. Some of the video footage that is now circulating may actually have been made for that purpose.

Wouldn't count on it. It costs a lot money and effort for an organization that is already stretched. On top of that I can recall a thread on this board in which someone wrote that the KLu does not consider the open day to be one of the primary recruitment tools anymore.

Dat er steeds meer F-35's meedoen vind ik niet meer dan logisch, alleen is het aantal buitenlandse deelnemers net als vorig jaar nogal beperkt. Echte knallers ontbreken dit keer helaas...

Last day of the exercise will be Thursday. A lot of participants will leave on Friday.
