info to all Wittmund spotters: never mind the badges worn by the Eurofighters - they all belong to JaboG 31 "B", and in the future to TaktLwG 31 "B"!

You got the figure a little bit wrong; it's not a billion, of course - in any case a lot of money was spent in vain, it seems.

and my personal guess is that 30+97 followed them in the afternoon, because it departed NN and did not return.

It looks to me we both misread 45+56 (no longer in use). Could it have been 46+56?

I forgot to mention that all the Eurofighters detached to Wittmund still belong to FBW 31 "Boelcke". JG-71 will be disbanded in a few weeks, but there will be a "Flying Group RICHTHOFEN" at Wittmund as part of TaktLwGeschw 31 "Boelcke" (I think from 1st July 2013). That means 31 will be responsible ...

30+83 is a FBW 31 aircraft inspite of the JG 74 badge. I guess it will soon revert to it's "normal" colours, having been loaned to Neuburg from Dec-Mar.

Rene, what Tigerspoon, a brave member of that particular flying club, gave you as an explanation is only half of the truth. In fact todays flying hours are so expensive that they have to save money somewhere else..... oops- no, he is correct, of course!
