Nice report! Still looking for a moment to go there.... your photos make it hard to wait! Thank you! Top Aces should be on Nordholz for at least the next year due to construction works at Wittmund, so you have a bit of time. Even though Nordholz is *&^% to reach, the photo opportunities are absolut...
After the first daytrip to Nordholz for the Top Aces A-4s (see: https://scramble.nl/community/messageboard/41/165677 ) and missing the TA-4 by a day, I started planning for a longer trip to see if I could get it this time. 3rd of October is a holiday in Germany, so I left that one out, and started m...
The Blackhawks left around noon today. They both flew several missions over the Northsea during this week, all in the dark, up until almost 23:00 local.
Today 2 UH-60s arrived at Nordholz. Duke14 (20-21128) and Duke52 (20-21132).
Supposed to stay until the end of the week, for SAR practice over the Northsea.

With the Top Aces operating from Nordholz and RWY 08 in use, I gave it a shot, hoping to catch as many A-4s as possible. Especially the TA-4 was still on the wishlist. Spoiler: it still is.. That one flew the day after. Can't have it all. The Top Aces use a hangar on the (civil) airport side, and ev...
