Perry, 89-26132 was noted by me last Thursday on ramp2 and it made engine runs in the afternoon. It's a MedEvac/Air Ambulance one. I would have guessed it was gone by now, but then again these transponders could be switched even so easily. Anyway, I'm keeping an eye out on this thread as I might run...
A brief stop was made around noon, for about 2 hours. The place was awfully quiet, but still some new ones could be made. It was also nice to see (and read) the Blackhawks that were parked outside. They were being prepped (made test runs) for their departure to Ansbach after their 10-month tour of d...
@ Maurits, thanks for your help! However I don't fully thrust SBS, but if they are correct I don't need them anyway. @Charles No problem, it was my pleasure. I hope your jetlag is over now. Thanks for the addition, I already thought I'd missed one. I've also updated the correct unit...
No.... :please!: Thats real sour!! We were just at the ferry port at Altrip when the vessel past us going around the bend....thinking it was not going to stop anytime soon. If it did, we we're less then a mile away of possibly scoring the other 8 Apaches as well. The place seems quite open and viewa...
We visited the place yesterday. Only two Apaches were outside and about to depart anytime that day. xx-xxxxx AH-64D nm xx-xxx97 AH-64D nm The latter one was only readable because it's last two were outlined in white. We thought it ended in 497, but are not entirely sure. That would make it 05-05497....
After yesterdays hunt for the vessel Dynamica near Mannheim (with those Apaches), we went on to Ramstein and Wiesbaden. Due to the recent arrival of several "new" RC-12X aircraft and the move the Blackhawks from Coleman to this place. It was good to see the full ramps again upon arrival at around 4p...
I've just come back from our hunt. Unfortunately none were onloaded in Mannheim, nor did this vessel make a stop (the AIS-signal was lost). We tracked it near Altrip (going south), with all 8 Apaches still on the deck.
We also noted 2 Apaches at Coleman. One of them was (xx-xxx)97.
