Re: REQ: Amsterdam Heliport

PH-ECJ and PH-EQU are based I believe, and PH-EMS comes here to refuel.
Chances of seeing movements, or any helicopters outside the hangar, are never very good, though.

Vergadering

Just noted while trying to photograph the RAF C-17 that the crash gate near the corner Vijfhuizerweg/Hoofdweg Oostzijde has been replaced with regular fence, so you'd need a stepladder at that point now.

Re: EHAM 08-04-2009 MIL

Owww, any ideas whether 18C and 18R, or only 18R will be in use at 1440 hours? Question: why doesn't this flight go to Eindhoven? AMS is closer to the military hospital in Utrecht? Why do the RAF C-130s come to AMS by the way? I understand it's for cheaper fuel, but is AMS fuel cheaper than EIN fuel...

EHHA 20-03-2009

Seen at Amsterdam Heliport at 11 AM:

G-TOPC AS.355F-1 Ecureuil

I haven't seen an EHHA topic before, but the Amsterdam - Schiphol subforum description suggests it should be in here.

LX-JFP P-180 Avanti II due 14:30L (13:30z) from Oslo, departing at 15:50L (14:50z) to Nice. This is a new aircraft and I think the first P-180 for Jetfly. The c/n is still unknown to me. c/n 1176 according to http://mikemoro.mi.ohost.de/journal/2009/31_february_2009.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.h...

Still from Riyadh (RUH)? And does this favour 18C or 18R for landing, anyone?

Re: Mil Mi-4

It's indeed a strange statement. ASW and armed versions of the Mi-4 were obviously in service a long time ago, 1960s-ish. I don't think that was unknown to the West at that time and certainly, I have a book much older than ten years which mentions these versions (they're not conversions). It may be ...

Sabadell Air Displays 2009

At Sabadell near Barcelona the FPAC organization, http://www.fpac.org/fundacio.php?lang=eng" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, intends to establish a Museu Aeronatic de Catalunya. A so-called 'air display' is planned almost every month this year. 'Our airplanes take to the air!' http://...
