A quick blast down the motorway during a late lunch resulted in catching a Royal Navy Merlin on a rotors running refuel at the City of Manchester Airport, more widely known as Barton Aerodrome. The light was golden just as the sun began to set (lasted about 10 minutes), it has been adjusted for highlights, contrast, crop etc.
