Re: EHVK 13-10-2010

One addition: Mirage 2000C (121)/103-KN was put on the line in the afternoon.
Did you read off the two non-flying Tornado's? Afaik 46+15 is also still present.
Oh, and almost forgot: F-16 J-222 (in a beautiful tiger scheme) was put on static display.

Re: Soesterberg (EHSB/UTC) - 2010

Nee, eerder dit jaar stond ie in de voormalige engine test bunker, gebouw A91 volgens mij. Foto's daarvan waren op dit forum te bewonderen. Bevestiging dat ie daar nog steeds staat zou fijn zijn....

Re: EHSB the remainders

With the open days tomorrow and Sunday, can somebody tell me where building A91 (the engine test building) is? I would like to get this Streak before it is scrapped.....
Many thanks in advance!

Re: W&R in Groningen

Hi Remco, That sound interesting, I never heard of tat museum OR that Anson. Is it a real one? I did some Googling, and found that K6285 served with (Dutch) 321 squadron during WW II and crashed in 1940 (on the 5th of July to be exact). It would be nice to know wether this is the fuselage of the ori...

Re: W&R in Groningen

Yes, there are. How many depends on your definition of "near"
There is Uithuizen, with a preserved F-104 (D-8300), and the private airfield Oostwold with a based Stearman (N56457).
Happy hunting!

Bij zowel jouw bericht als dat van zeer gewaardeerde spotter Henk stond geen tijdstip aangegeven, vandaar dat ik bevestiging vroeg...
Ik zal het sarcasme verder maar negeren, bedankt voor die bevestiging!

Maybe it is, that's my question indeed. I am looking for confirmation that was the only one flying....

By any chance someone out there who knows wether N-110 flew in the afternoon? Around 13:30 an NH-90 flew over Almere.

Re: Helsinki-Vantaa (EFHK/HEL) - 2010 CIV

Seen at Vantaa both on 28-8 and 4-9 were An-26's RA-26010 and YL-RAB. Parked at freight, across the runway from the terminal, and it looked like they hadn't moved at all during the week.

Yesterday, Friday 10-9, a Dutch NH-90 flew over Almere in Easterly direction, around 13:30 local time. Anybody for the serial maybe?

Not only nice shots, but also the first time I see a picture of a Hungarian Hip (704) with a squadron badge! Nice :-)

In Den Dolder is an infamous scrapyard, where lots of aircraft have been scrapped in the past. Including many interesting ones like this Phantom....

Hi John,

Nice trip! I see you did get into Syerston?
One small correction: 23 sq has been disbanded in 2009. So the Sentry fleet now flies for 8 and 54 squadron.

Re: Spotting in Slovakia

Yes, I saw that reply as well. When we were there the rumour was it was going to take another year to finish the job. That rumour was clearly wrong...
I guess it depends on your determination and patience wether a visit will be worth it. If you go: good luck!

Re: Spotting in Slovakia

Hi anonymous g,

At the moment Sliac is closed, that's why you see pictures of MiG's at Malacky.... Don't expect too many movements though, during our two days on base we saw two or three MiG's a day flying.
No idea about the security outside the base though.
Good luck!
