I'm happy with the 24-105 as well! Let me know (by PM) if you want some hi-res images for evaluation.

Re: Size matters - what do you do to your photos after editing

I'm quite surprised to see how many people still save edited copies of their photos. How many of these shoot JPEG and save their copy in JPEG format? Do you realize that when you take this "high resolution" copy to resize them further that your image quality is degraded three times due to JPEG compr...

Re: Size matters - what do you do to your photos after editing

I selected 'None of the Above' because I only resize (or should I say 'export') images whenever I need them for a specific purpose. When I upload photos to forums I just export them from Lightroom at 900x600 and a copyright text will automatically be added. If I submit them to Airliners.net they are...

Nice one! Do you maybe have a log with all 16 Gripens? Did they belong to one specific unit or multiple?

Re: Spottersnight Volkel by SGV - 18-jan-2012

Great shots Iwan! I especially like the third (creative) photo. Maybe, after all, the cancellation of the flight program was a good move, since flying/taxiing activity usually brings a lot of restrictions to groups..

POLL: What image editing software do we use?

Quick poll in response to this topic . I think the question is pretty clear. I tried to list the most important pieces of software. Unfortunately, I cannot add more than 11 options. I realize some people use a raw converter (Camera Raw, DPP, Lightroom) in combination with pixel editors (GIMP, Photos...

Re: Best photoshop program.

At this time Lightroom is the most widely used software within the Scramble photo community. I'm not sure Lightroom is the most widely used application (many people still use Photoshop), but Lightroom definitely is the software with the biggest rise, especially over the past 1-2 years. It would be ...

Re: Best photoshop program.

It depends on a lot of things.. Do you want freeware or do you want to pay for it? Do you shoot Raw or JPEG? Do you want just an image editor or a complete photo management tool? If you can be a bit more specific what you would like to be able to do, that would be helpful. I don't think many of us h...

Re: Please rate the result

If you check the histogram of the first image, you will see that the graph isn't touching the left side edge. This means that black in your image isn't black on the screen, so you need to improve the contrast. You can do that by using the Blacks slider, the Contrast slider or the Tone Curve (they wi...
