Re: Radom 27/28 August 2011

According to the BAF Facebook page, the Belgian F-16 solo display will do both Radom and SIAF, so I suppose it's not impossible to combine the 2 shows for the Czech Gripen either. 27-28/08/2011: International Airshow at Radom - Poland with BAF Solo Display F16 and Static C130 27-28/08/2011: Slovak I...

Re: BIAF @Plovdiv 4, 5 September 2011

They also held it at that side in 2009. Distance seemed similar as at western-European airshows to me, not too far, not terribly close either. The Migs flew straight from their homebase, but it was possible to make decent take-off pictures of the SU-25. Also, the CSAR demo could be clearly watched f...

Re: Koksijde 6 and 7 July 2011

The crowd is very far away, but to shoot the runway, even more useful than a big lens would be something to cut the grass and weeds etc between you and the aforementioned stretch of concrete. Realistically, don't expect to shoot anything that's on the ground.

Re: BIAF @Plovdiv 4, 5 September 2011

The list from above.......................are those static displays or flying displays?? More likely 'invited displays' because two of those won't even be around anymore (one already isn't), and while it would be an outstanding collection of participants, it would also be an unimaginably large leap...

Not yet, but I think you're better off to look at the Hungarian version (I'm not Hungarian and I manage just fine) http://repulonap.hu/airshow/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Dinamikus = flying Statikus = static Nothing = we'll have to wait to find out, though in some cases it's clea...

Yes, there are special buses, they depart from right in front of the station and drop you off at the gate, no stops inbetween.

Re: Beauvechain AB 3/4 juli 2010

Except we paid, and people could enter the base at their leisure without paying. That doesn't even take into account the organizational errors. If you charge, you have to take it seriously, or suffer the backlash.

Re: Beauvechain AB 3/4 juli 2010

The pictures from the static during Beauvechain last show are unlikely to be representative for this one because then the public could go on either side, now only on one side according to their map, which is also logical because there will be taxiing display aircraft there apparently.

Re: Beauvechain AB 3/4 juli 2010

By the looks of the map, the runway will be behind the static, which will be partially 'active' static as some display aircraft will also be parked there.

Re: Duxford Flying Legends 10/11 July 2010

Worth pointing out that Duxford started a no stepladder policy last year, saw quite a few people being told to get off their ladder and not use it anymore by the stewards.

Re: Beauvechain AB 3/4 juli 2010

The French part of the website now specifically states that there will be shuttle busses running from Ottignies trainstation. Do try to get to Ottignies by train, not with the very obscure bus instructions via Wavre of something as they list as options, unless you fancy being en route for the better...
