50D review

After reading the review it is wise to go to the topic discussion forums; 50D-10D. Consulting the many posts, you can conclude that iso and image quality wise, the 50D may not be the big expected step forward compared to the 40D, but many real users having both a 40D and 50D, favor the 50D (if only ...

Concerning the pictures from the Italian EF2000 til the AV-8B, I have forgotten to downsize them by my self. Now the program of photobucket has done this for me, with the result that the pictures are not as sharp as the originals. My fault. Anyway it is just an impression.

small impression of TLP 5

A small (non-cropped) impression of the first mission day of TLP 5. Weather conditions: dry, mostly cloudy. The AMX's, AV F-16's and one AV-8B stayed on the ground. The A-10's didn't show up (yet?) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v243/Schoonderwoerd/tlp001.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v24...

PC-21's at Payerne

I allready posted a topic about the ex-australian tigers at Payerne in which I stated it was a 'slow' day concerning flight activity. What I forgot to mention is a visit (touch and go's) of two PC-21. According to the official website http://www.lw.admin.ch/internet/luftwaffe/de/home/dokumentation/a...

photo/screensize

Yeah Paul,

I know, I keep telling my wife that it is an unworkable situation to scroll left/right etc. and that I need a bigger screen.

But seriously, your suggestion has been noted.

And Rob, yes, I'm still alife and trying to catch as much as possible. Maybe we encouter at TLP?

(ex) Austrian Tigers at Payerne

A short spotting trip ended at Payerne last friday. Allthough the flight activities were very poor (understatement) we were lucky to catch the ex austrian tigers. Unfortunately there were covers over the canopies. Too bad, but otherwise we've seen them. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v243/Schoond...

2.0 TC

I believe the topic must be in English, so my respons will be in English. Some lenses with extenders will AF up to F.8.0. These are the EOS 1 models. Only centerpoint AF will work. With all the other camera no autofocus. You can bypass this problem by taping off 3 pins of the extender. I'm not sure ...

Like Iwan, I would go for the 100-400 mm. With the 17-85 you allready have, you would have a nice range with a slight gap of 15 mm. But then again it all depends on your demands of taking pictures. A 70-200 mm is faster due to the aperture. On the other hand (i.m.h.o) the noisecontrol of cameras are...
