Re: Info on Army 2017 Kubinka/Alabino

Thank you, but I really need to know if Alabino is worth the visit. Are you close enough to get shots of the live firing, or too far away to make good shots?

Info on Army 2017 Kubinka/Alabino

Visiting the Army 2017 at Kubinka next month, but wondering whether anyone has visited before and has experience of visiting the nearby Alabino Training Ground where they do the live firing? Does anyone know if it is possible to photograph the aircraft easily if on base, or are they too far away to ...

UK Bomber deployment photo report by Jetwash Aviation Photos

Our latest report is now available on line at our website. A couple of photos below, with the report available on the link. 'Defenders of Liberty' The beginning of June saw three Boeing B-52H Stratofortresses from Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, deploy to RAF Fairford, U.K., to support a number...

Re: US Air Force Will Send Bombers to the UK in June

From official sources I can confirm that the B-52s at Fairford are there until the 16th June. So I presume that they will then return to CONUS at that point in time.

I you are referring to my comment about being a little more diplomatic, it was not aimed at you. Apologies if you thought it was.

Re: 100th ARW gone by the end of 2016?

On the subject of the 352SOW, I was working with them last Friday and told face to face by someone in the unit that after moving to Spang, they will have to return to the UK on a regular basis to conduct training because of the low-fly retsrictions in Germany.

Re: 100th ARW gone by the end of 2016?

Finally, something that has not been mentioned is the fact that fuel storage tanks for the 100ARW will presumably need to be constructed at Ramstein. Believe me, KC-135s do not 'fill-up' from bowsers and enormous amounts of fuel will need to be stored in underground tanks to re-supply the 15 KC-135...

Re: 100th ARW gone by the end of 2016?

I assume our man at EDDS is hoping for increased activity at his sad local Flughafen, but if any of our younger readers are thinking along the same lines, he is quite insensitive to the recent* history of EGUN. Obviously he never awoke with the feeling that his tent was being lifted off it's drunke...

Re: 100th ARW gone by the end of 2016?

I was at Mildenhall last week and nothing has been mentioned about this. I also spoke to 100ARW Public Affairs and without going into detail, the conversation I had would not have been taking place if they were moving out imminently. Finally, something that has not been mentioned is the fact that fu...

Thanks Ben, difficult to get nice night shots at Mildenhall as the ramp lighting gives off an awful yellow glow, creating some work in the editing department
