Leeuwarden - Hawker Hunter - 13-08-2021

The hope for some more Norwegian F-35s brought me back to Leeuwarden this morning. Unfortunately, no WIC flights and no Norwegian F-35s. But the Hunter was supposed to fly at 09:00 and 11:00 local. It did so at 11:00. Two KLu F-35s went airborne a little bit later, but that was all. https://live.sta...

Leeuwarden - Norwegian F-35s - 11-08-2021

A day where the sun disappeared when planes arrived, and grilled us in between... In the end, an enjoyable day with 4 norwegian F-35s in the bag. The pilot reported a (practice)bomb that was stuck on the plane while talking on dragon ops.

Tempting to go there, but don't want to go without positive results......

Nice pictures by the way!
Thank you.

I don't have a picture of the situation... sorry :(

Re: Wittmund 05-08-2021

Thx Ranger, You are correct, it's all the rwy 08 threshold. The double fence is a pain in the butt on everything. The A-4 shot is taken by putting a small (3 step) ladder on top of the mount around the farmers field. There is only room for about 3 to 4 people on the mount. If you use a bigger ladder...

Wittmund 05-08-2021

Another lovely day at Wittmund. The Top Aces refused to send out their TA-4, so we had to make due with 'just' one Alpha Jet and an A-4. TaktLwG 71 used 9 different Eurofighters throughout the day, and a visiting A-400 from Wunstorf in the morning was a welcome addition. Let's go: https://live.stati...
