Arrived right on time "Mr.Herkybird". Thanks for the info. Three F16C's and 3 D's. Callsign sounded like "Tiger" though.

Re: Chania (Souda Bay) LGSA/CHQ 2017 MIL

This was definitely a nice surprise:
Oct. 28: Scorpion prototype N532TX. A short stop on its way to Middle East, accompanied by a Textron-owned Cessna 680 (N339ES).

Re: Chania (Souda Bay) LGSA/CHQ 2017 MIL

and a UAV ( think it was a MQ9 reaper) The UAV was most probably the RQ-4B '05-2024', which diverted to Souda due to an emergency, some time ago. As mentioned in the Moron topic, one of the F-22s was 05-4106 (another emergency). These two emergencies, along with the 3 Iraqi F-16's (1613, 1630,1631)...

Re: Moron (LEMO) 2017

Arrived at Souda on Sept. 30th, after sunset, so spotting was not possible. Callsign for the F-22 should be TABOR (TABOR14 was one of them). The tanker which had the emergency was 64-14840 (Ohio ANG), which flew next day alone to Europe (ETAD?).

Re: Moron (LEMO) 2017

I can only confirm 05-4106 (TY) which belonged to a flight of 2 aircraft that diverted to Souda along with their tanker (GOLD92) due to an emergency.

Re: Lajes (Azores) LPLA/TER - 2017 MIL

As I said yesterday, Mazda21 flight included 4 aircraft and departed today from Souda around 10:30z to Lajes. It was followed by Blue72, cleared to LERT. Mazda21 flight included CG-04, 05 and 07. The fourth one looks like CG-00, but I am not 100% sure.

Blue 72 arrived indeed at Souda early in the morning today. AV-8's were also there this morning, but they were more than two. I have seen at least 4 of them.

Re: Chania (Souda Bay) LGSA/CHQ 2017 MIL

Several Aviano based F-16's are on a short term training deployment for more than a week now. Only confirmed serial yet is 89-2035 (555th FS).
Moreover, an Icelandic Coast Guard Dash-8 (TF-SIF) was seen flying patrol missions out of Souda on Jan. 28th.

Re: Chania (Souda Bay) LGSA 2016 MIL

Some additional info on "SHACK41", since the way it is written it looks like a USN serial (BuNo). The aircraft flying these days under this callsign is a King Air 350, with Beechcraft logos and number 16-2801 on its tail.

Re: Chania (Souda Bay) LGSA 2015

DARE 31, 32, etc are the callsigns for daily flights of the Souda based EO-5C, which is indeed a modified Dash-7.

Re: LOG LGGG Athens 2014 (via LiveATC)

The March 5th log seems a bit strange. The F-15's along with the three tankers (QID and PANTHER flights) departed on March 4th. So, it's probably a typo error.
Also, if this is the March 4th log, then VVPD323 was P-3C 161594 (visually identified).

Re: LOG LGGG Athens 2014 (via LiveATC)

No confusion, at least for me. I don't disagree with TUSKR actually. The point of my first contribution was to clarify that TUSKR was an american CN.235 and not a Canadian aircraft (as originally listed) and my second to verify that the aircraft under this callsign these days is 66043. I am a photo ...

Re: LOG LGGG Athens 2014 (via LiveATC)

Thanks for the clarification Robin. I 've indeed written down what I've heard. And this goes to verify the mysterious TUSKR callsign in Wolbie's list.
My actual big mistake was on the date. I meant February not January. So I edit.

For the 12th of February, TUSKER24 verified visually as CN.235, 66043
