Re: JB Andrews Air & Space Expo 2022

310 flew I think both on Wednesday and Thursday. I have a picture of it diving to the runway, but not sure how to attach it here.

For the Thunderbirds: Like I said, I'm not a number cruncher, so i didn't really try, the serial of #3 just accidentally appeared on a photo.. :-)

Re: JB Andrews Air & Space Expo 2022

Hoi Adraf, all noted between the 13th (late afternoon) and 16th (around 3 pm). Thunderbird 3 serial was on its ejection seat. I saw the VH-3 arriving but was doing something else at that moment and it seems it was put on the static display only on Fiday evening or Saturday morning, like the VH-60. N...

JB Andrews Air & Space Expo 2022

The following rotor- and aircraft were photographed here in the days preceding the airshow. These serials were taken from my pictures, of which I will share some after my return to NL. I arrived from Martin State (where I took a 70 minute flight in a Cessna in the absence of A-10s flying..) on Tuesd...

Port visit NYC

HMS Queen Elizabeth has arrived here. Last noted location: Between Verrazano Bridge and Statue of Liberty. Looked like it had 2 Merlins on deck but can't be sure, I was quite far away (opposite Manhattan).

Cheers, Bart

Also lots of VIP planes at JFK today, at least Brasilian (BRS01 an A319), Pakistani Gulfstream IV (these 2 are currently relocating to Long Island - MacArthur), French, Italian and German AF. GAF906 (A340) and French A330 CTM0001 repositioned to Dulles after the stop at NY. FACH1 a Chilean B767 is c...

Re: INTERNATIONAL SANICOLE AIRSHOW 2022

If you Google that French parachute team you will see a variety of aircraft being used, both mil and civil: CN.235, Cessna, Broussard.. Guess it depends on availability and what's most practical for the location/occasion. A CN.235 seems the most obvious choice unless they hire a local Belgian plane ...

The others on the ramp were (in order from east to west, around 11 AM): LX-N90442 LX-N90...? (blue tail) LX-N90451 LX-N90456 LX-N90454 +1 (in front of maintenance hangar, facing east, so head-on, not id'd) Both KS ANG tankers on the ramp all morning (80122 left for a mission with E-3 451 around 1 PM...

Re: F-22 deployment(s) 2022 to Europe (was: ETAD)

Like I mentioned before, Spangdahlem was never mentioned at all. As with the A-10s from MD ANG before, there's a staging base in Europe from where they deploy to a (or multiple) location(s) further east. This could be Ramstein, Spangdahlem or (in case of the Raptors) Lakenheath.

Re: Helicopters at NAS Norfolk damaged after severe thunderstorm!

From pictures on Instagram at least an (M?)H-60 with nosecode 615 could be identified, as well an MH-53 coded 436. Looks like a lot of helicopters are damaged, some even flipped over! Potential write offs, especially for the older H-53s?

Re: Conflict in Ukraine: military movements & news

At first it seemed inbound Kuçovë, but now I am not so sure.. It's flying at a constant speed of 120kts at 2200ft over Albania in a SE direction. Looks more like an ADS-B mix-up with a Cessna or Piper! Not an Su57. And nothing to do with the war anyway I think.

Re: Warbirds

Re: ETAD F-22 deployment(s) 2022

Thanks for sharing the article. Why is it posted under the Spangdahlem topic? The base is not explicitly mentioned as FOL for the F-22s. In fact, after going through the article a 2nd time, it seems Lakenheath is more likely, since the General is mentioning the deployment in the context of building ...
