There is no "spotter day" here, just media days. And allegedly coming year they will be screening more carefully, since the group is getting too big....
Inside the hangar behind the Transalls were another two C-160s, one from LTG 61 (nose on) and one tail on. Because of the rain, we couldn't read them off, somebody who had more luck before the rain started....?
Nice shots, well done!
I had to leave before the flying started, and just when I was leaving Cartouche Doree arrived. Can you confirm the serials for me please? From a distance (which is my excuse...) I thought I read:
F-SEYG
F-SEXP
113
141/F-xxZF
but the first three seem to be wrong.
I guess your Rafale was the one that should fly a display at Meaux Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately we didn't stay that long, so can't help you with the serial, but if you do some searching you might find it.
Nice pics! And good to see 03 active again. Serials 03 - 06 had not been seen for years, any update on the status of the rest (since you have been on base)?
We were instead offered a static position for XH558 crowd-side with a nearby site for the Vulcan Village. However we have a duty of care to those of our volunteers who staff the Vulcan Village not to risk exposing them to visitors expecting to see XH558 flying who complain that she is not. :?: :?: ...
De Duitsers hadden die mogelijkheid ook, maar aangezien daarbij de slijtage van de motor veel hoger lag, werd dat bewaard voor inzet tijdens operationele missies.
