Re: UK Trip 9-9-13 / 13-9-13

Thanks for the Chipmunk. This is the first British built Chippie ever by the way, with c/n 0001 :-)
It used to be stored apparently, but luckily it surfaced again!

Looks like a nice trip indeed!
One question: which Chipmunk did you see at Wickenby?

Re: ETNN (Nörvenich)-17-09-2013

Nice shot! I can't see the one of the Tornado though.
Is it that hard to type in ETNN in Google?
But is it that hard to type a full name? And just read the tekst in read above all pages, with the forum rules.....

A nice addition for the Hercs. And the same goes for the Hunter, didn't see it with that badge on the tail before!

Re: aviation park at ORY

how difficult can it be to type just one bloody character extra so everybody knows that the subject is OrLy? "Vechten tegen de bierkaai" is what comes to mind. But I fully agree, how difficult can it be...? We're getting off topic, but I stopped trying to help people with requests who don't mention...

Re: RAF Waddington (EGXW) 2013 MIL

AFAIK G-LBSB is light grey, see:

But either way that was difficult to see, since it was parked nose on in the back of the hangar (which has yellow lights).

Re: RAF Waddington (EGXW) 2013 MIL

Your Sentinel was ZJ693. I *think* the second "Shadow" is the recently arrived civil Be.200 that will be used as a training aircraft. I would like to get confirmation on this as well though.

Re: Nordholz Airday 18 Aug 2013 - 100 Jahr Marineflieger

Both UH-1s on the static carried no markings. Confirmed by the crew:
70+88 is operated by THR 30 (despite the LTG special markings!)
72+27 is operated by THR 10.
If somebody can confirm the unit for 71+12 (that was on SAR alert) that would be great.

Occupants were very lucky, looking at the totally wrecked aircraft!
Anyone knows where this used to be based please?

Re: Old Sarum "Boscombe Down Aviation Collection".

I can recommend a visit here as well. Most aircraft have a very interesting history with the test units at Boscombe, and there are some very rare aircraft there! Plus friendly staff, glad the collection is finally open for the public :-)

Hi Custard :-)

Nice log! One queston, from where can you see into the storage hangar and RUAG hangar at Emmen?
