Madrid-Torrejón (LETO/TOJ) - MIL 2009

LOG 2 February 2009: Final stop during my stop in Madrid was my favourite airport. Well, not today. When I drove around the northern toll road I saw two Hornets landing. Quite exited, also due to the drive through large pools of mud, I arrived at spot 2 at slightly past two. Here, I waited, and wait...

As I had some time in Madrid I had rented a nice Fiat Dublo Multijet Diesel ( Not! ) and was hoping for lots of sun at Torrejon. Well, fortunately the snow showers stayed way north but there was lots of rain. Change of plan was needed so I decided to take my car around Madrid to visit all the airpor...

Re: info required on 3rd TFW participation to Desert Storm 1991

According the Gulf Air War Debrief special edition of the World Air Power Journal, now International Air Power review, there were six F-4Es deployed to Incirlik during the build up preceding Operation Desert Storm. It appears that they may not have been used in combat operations, according the book.

Above mentioned Falcon has been moved from this spot.
I could not find it anywhere else on LEMD, maybe in hangar?

Re: Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 IS L Topic

Reading all your posts, thank you for that, I realized that my pictures could be improved. When looking at my pics from the last TLP, 1/3 were unsharp, although at shuuterspeeds between 1/800 and 1/1000. As a test, today, I went to Volkel to take pictures with my 100-400mm lens but this time without...

Re: No flying at TLP Spotters Day??

The non - flying day is noted based on the regular schedule.
The spottersday was added at a later stage.

I will remove the NO mission remark for the time being.

When I have more info, eg via the TLP website, I will post it here.

Re: TLP 2009-1 Questions

Question of Dino transferred to the question thread:
Hi,

Friday the Polish vipers will depart from the TLP, but that day there is also a TLP mission.
