The „Sword of Boelcke“ will stay until late 2021, „Eagle Star“ will commence until ca. September 2022.

The wing is planning another special colored Eurofighter in the future (in 2023 as the latest) due to celebrating 65 years of JaboG 31/TLwG 31 „Boelcke“.

With six C-160D Transall (50+36, 50+51, 50+55, 50+79, 50+83 and 50+88) will soldier on at LTG 63 for a few more weeks the wing will celebrate it’s demise on December 15th. A few more flights could happen after this date, but the Luftwaffe will go into Christmas leave shortly after December 20th.

As 36th German A400M 54+37 departed Sevilla in the morning of 12.11. for Wunstorf and LTG 62.

Many of the current A400 are on maintenance at Airbus for A and C Checks and upgrades. Airbus promised to improve the situation soon.

Awaited back tomorrow from Andersen AFB, Guam, routing via Doha, Kula Lumpur und vice versa was LTG 62 A400M 54+36 beeing the very first very long distance flight to the Pacific area.

Making a weather diversion due to colour state RED at Wittmund were TLwG 71 Eurofighter GS 30+92 and 30+87.

Both departed again at 13.15 h as Flash 1 and 2.

The end is near… C-160D 50+40 „Retrobrummel“ of LTG 63 departed Hohn for the last time on 20.10. flying to Roth via Nürnberg. This is leaving six Transall at the wing, three (50+36, 50+51 and 50+55) will be written from use just before Christmas and unfortunately scrapped. 50+88 will stay almost act...

Noted visiting here on 20.10. were Tornado IDS 45+85 of TLwG 33 and Global 6000 14+06 of FBS BMVg.

Which should be the first visit of a TLwG 74 (and JG 74) fighter aircraft was Eurofighter GS 30+22, landing after some Touch and go’s on 23.09. Previously the runway was too short and without cables for safe landings with F-104 and F-4F. Have the runway dimensions changed in the last couple of year...
