SAAB J 35 Draken of Swedish Air Force IMPRESSIVE Afterburner display at Airpower 2019 in Zeltweg Austria. Saab 35 Draken (Dragon) is a Swedish fighter jet supersonic interceptor developed and manufactured by Svenska Aeroplan Aktiebolaget (SAAB) between 1955 and 1974. SAAB J 35 Draken has a unique and innovative double delta wing it is capable to perform the Cobra maneuver and it is the first Western-European-built aircraft to exceed Mach 2 in level flight in 1960. SAAB J 35 Draken was a very capable dogfighter for the Cold War era and used to intercept Soviet Russian military planes over the Baltic. SAAB J 35 Draken was used also by air forces of Austria, Denmark and Finland.
