Marine Rafales of the 11 Flottille at Frisian Flag Leeuwarden

In this video some special attention for the French participants. This year’s edition of Frisian Flag brought next to the French Mirage 2000 fighters also some Rafales of the Aeronavale to Leeuwarden. The Mirage 2000D’s from Nancy are a known sight at Leeuwarden during Frisian Flag. In total four Mirages flew along in the mission during this film. The participation of two Aeronavale Rafale Marine aircraft was special. Two planes of the 11 Flotille participated at Leeuwarden. These planes came from the French naval base Landivisiau in Bretagne. The Rafales are at sea based on the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle. This version of the Rafale has therefore a strengthened landing gear suited for deck landings. For the fans these aircraft were really an addition to the exercise. Also the Dutch F-16’s can be seen in this film and the arrival of an extra Italian EF2000 Eurofighter.
