Spotting conditions NAS Kingsville and NAS Corpus Christi

Post by Einstein »

Hello all,

For a possible tour to the USA next year we intend to travel through Texas. Could anyone advise us about the spotting conditions around NAS Kingsville and NAS Corpus Christi please?

Regards and thanks in advance,
Jochem

I have been for 3 years agoo to Corpus Cristy.
Very difficult to see someting at the field.
The only place I found is the Ocean drive.
Coming from the city direction to NAS you will pass a university.
Halve a kilometer further you can stand relaxed beside the road under the landing. I had no problems with authorities.
Pictures possible to.
Traffic is coming in all the time, but not every two munites.
Saw around 25 aircraft in 3 hours.

Around Corpus are 3 other empty airstrips, used for training.
Sometime they fly there to, but only a little, and nothing else then at CCNAS.

It is nice to go there I think.
And,,,many pelicans (birds) to see, and it looks very nice for fising too

Have funn,
Frans
