Very interesting. 4-5 years ago, before any Ospreys came to North Island, the Navy held a public Q & A session to talk about the impact of the (then) forthcoming Osprey operations. I asked if Ospreys would be training at OLF Ream, and the answer then was no, because Ream was fully booked with H-60 operations. Guess they have changed their minds, or else the Marines just crashed the party.

There was a CMV-22B from North Island but it went to Yuma, did an approach, then to El Centro for pattern work. D'oh!!! I saw "Imperial' didn't see any ICAO, saw the aircraft looked plausible for Ream, and jumped in with both feet. My bad. It does seem to get a lot of military traffic, mostly USN and USMC rotary machines for rotors running refuels.
