Hi,

Spent 2 weeks in Hurghada. On monday 15-09 i missed a white Herc because i was on a boat for some snorkling. On thursday 18-09 i missed a camo Herc because i left my bins in my room.....
But on monday 22-09 i saw:

VC-130H 1289/SU-BAV White c/s with red cheat line

On tuesday 23-09:

C-130H 1286/SU-BAS Camo c/s
Gulf IV SU-BNC White c/s with red cheat line

All of them came in between 10.30 and 11.00. After that it was tourist fly-in time.
It's not that much, but better than nothing.

On 260506 I saw a Beech King Air of the EgAF.
on 270506 there were two Mig-21 at 07.30 and 07.45 HRS and again the Beech.
On 28-5-06 I photographed the MiG-21 4508 and 4514 at 07.40 hrs from a roof-teracce.

Because i landed and took off in the dark (it was already dark at 18.00!) i could not see anything of the airport. I sat at the window when we came in and i could see the hangars, but that was it.
Didn't see any mig's flying, so i think they are not stationed here all year.
So i wasn't so lucky.

I had more luck during last week of November

Saw about 6-8 Migs , 2 C130's and Italian Tornado's and C130's , further a Thai Navy Embraer on delivery flight.

The Thai Navy Embraer was 2112/HS-NVA.

This is the Air Task Group "Devil" departed from Ghedi AB (Italy) at about 8.15 AM, they were directed to Mazar-e-Sharif (Afghanistan). These Tornadoes form the Italian Recce contingent deployed in support of NATO ISAF troups. You can find an article about the departure here.
