Tel Nof AFB (LLEK) 2023

Post by Starman »

Arriving this evening for an exchange visit to the IAF Flight Test Centre (מנ"ט) were two Tornado ECRs from TLG51. These flew Jagel to Brindisi, continuing after lunch to Tel Nof where they were joined by two F-16Ds from the FTC for a tour of Israel before landing. Each carried four (what I assume are) 500 gallon fuel tanks. According to the tracking sites they climbed and reduced speed after Brindisi to enable the marathon sector.

Active today at Tel Nof were the Tonkas, 46+55 & 46+57 plus:
Manat: 020 & 601 F-16Ds plus 714 & seconded 280 F-15Ds
106 Sqn F-15C/D: 525, 552, 560, 575, 802, 818, 832, 840, 701, 715, 733, 970 & 979
133 Sqn F-15s: 519, 666, 673, 681, 686, 692, 696, 695, 698 & 984
Some big UAVs flew too.
