for the Douglas A-26 Invader N167B "Sugarland Express".
The Scandinavian Historic Flight A-26B, N-167B "Sugarland Express", was built in 1944 as a trainer version with dual controls. It served with the U.S. Air Force as a trainer and never saw combat. After its military career it was converted to a "monarch 26" fast executive transport. This involved fitting a new rear wing spar to accommodate a cabin. It still has this interior, but on the outside it is restored to the looks of the U.S. 9th Air Force in WWII in Europe. The aircraft was acquired by SHF in 1986, and after a major restoration involving, among other things, extensive work to give the aircraft its military looks back, it was flown across the Atlantic to Norway in 1988. Since then, the lnvader has flown in many airshows all over Europe and serves as a fast crew transport for SHF.

for North American P-51D N167F "Old Crow"
N167F North American P-51 History
The Scandinavian Historic Flight P-51D, N-167F, is painted as "Old Crow", the aircraft of one of the 8th AF aces, Col. Clarence E. "Bud" Anderson of the 357Th Fighter Group, 363rd Fighter Squadron, who recorded 16% kills in the aircraft. The aircraft was built in 1944, but never saw action in WWII. It was flown by the Royal Canadian Air Force before going through several civilian owners. It was acquired by SHF in 1980 and restored by Vintage Aircraft Ltd., Fort Collins, Colorado. In 1986 it was flown by Anders Saether across the Atlantic to Norway. Since then, it has been a steady performer on the European airshow circuit. It took part in the 1989 movie production "Memphis Belle". The main base is Oslo, but the aircraft is often deployed around Europe for airshow work.
I do hope both aircraft ( the A-26 asking price is 625 to 650,000 dollars, the Mustang should fetch $ 1,700,000 ) find a new home within Europe with an active airshow operator... :|
