29-4-2014 Orange-Caritat and museum

Post by Sukhoi22 »

Hi everyone,

Last week I was there with my family in Southern France and I've visited the BA115 and museum in town.

At the gate of BA115 I saw there the following:
Mystere B2 121/5-OL
Mystere 2C 143/5-WT
Mirage 3C 38/5-OC
Mystere 4A 68/5-NI (89)
CM-170 563 as 34/5-MD
Mirage 4A 32/BE

No mirage F1 or Vampire. One pole was empty.

At the overside of the base you have good sight of the base. You can see the dumped mirage at the overside.
Mirage 3RD 361/33-TJ.

In town the museum. I saw there the following outside.

Mig-21F-13 0906, Mig-21PFM 4406 Tjech.AF
Mirage F1C 103/33-FU, Mirage F1CT 238/33-FN
CM-170R 409
Etendard 37, Etendard 4P 153
Super Frelon 186, 188 NTU Iraq.AF
Mirage 2000C 19/GW-A, Mirage 2000B 520/5-OS
Mirage 3B 222/13-FF, 241/DK, 231/GS (EPNER c/s)
Mirage 3RD 333/33-TL,
Mirage 3C 43 stored on the ground.
Mystere 4A 28/5-NT
Mirage 3E 495/3-XL, 526/13-QU, 508, 363
Alize 55 (1959-2004 mks) ex Nimes Garons.
MH.1521M 5/44-CA
F-8P Crusader 8
Vautour 358
MS-760IR 91/316-DM
Jaguar A149/7-HP, E7/11-EC
Mirage 5 BA-43 BAF
Vampire FB.6 J-1183, Vampire T.55 U-1227 Swis.AF
Hunter F.58 J-4063 Swis.AF
G-91R/1A MM6306/2-23 It.AF

On the roundabout of exit 22 to Orange we saw a Mirage.
Mirage 5BA BA-10 as 84/5-OM BAF

Thanks for the log! Your Mirage 3RD should be 363, not 333. You have also listed 363 as a Mirage 3E.
Can you confirm the code of MS.760 91?
Cheers,

Hi Patrick,

The code of the MS. 760 can I confirm. The code could you read from the road. The mirage 3 I've read as 333 on the tail with code 33-TL.

Addition for the museum (30/6/2014)

T-33 fuselage, code painted over, possibly 314-TP or 314-YP

Place was all locked up, "for sale" sign on the building..............

I suspect this will be 21009/314-YP, ex Vannes.
Vannes seem to be disposing of several of their aircraft.

Andy,

I can confirm that the T-33 is indeed 21009/314-YP. Yesterday I noticed the tail inside one of the hangars. Other items (under restoration) in the hangars were:
CM175 (12)
RF-84F

Greetings, Erik
