I do remember making some of those pics, maybe I took them?
Nope, the three shots shown above were made by me for sure. I just didn't archive them correctly, so I can't tell the correct date.
Would anyone know where that box of slides has gone??
I know what you mean, but I don't know where it is. From the Hillkillers site, this might be interesting:

Maybe a bit off-topic here, but regarding the box of slides called the "spotters archive":

I used to be the holder, or call it guardian, of this box. When I moved to Germany back in 1992 I thought it was only fair to keep it within range of SSB for anyone to be accessible.
I handed it over to Lesley D. Maybe somebody still has contact with him and can find out where they are.

Hmmmmmm, I would be willing to spend money for having those spotters-archive memories scanned on a CD-ROM!

Yeah, I must aggree with this comment, look at the angle of
the tailhook!!!!! It seems like he lost something!
Does anyone remembers the intevieuw with
the "defensiekrant"? I had an uncle in the army that days,
he brings the paper home, says to his wife, "That"s Roel, that"s me
if you don"t know who I ame! Some months later on a birthday of my mother( she died last year of cancer) he showed me and my family
the paper. On the front page there was a photo of us I mean
spotters in those days. My mother and family were
very impressed by the picture.
Does anyone of you remember this event???????
With a taxiing F-4E in the background it was the 74-653 or
something like that. I'm getting older and greyer!!!!!!!
I hope that some of you does remember this!
I like to hear from you, guys
Grtz,

I have a remark for the first photo . I think the 2nd from
the left is Hans v/d Klis!
And I have a question about the F-15C 78-549/BT.
Is this a/c later seen in 32ndTFS markings?

Hallo, Roel

Hoewel ik toen ik Groningen woonde was ik deze dag ook op Soesterberg:

13 juli 1983

37+54, 38+11 F-4F JBG35, Pferdsfeld (Nu JG74, Laage) full-stop
K-4028 NF-5B 316Sqn * low pass
J-271 F-16B TCA *low pass

En natuurlijk het "gebruikelijke" spul (toen wel.... :( )
