I can only think of misread for the one mentioned by flyingkiwi for 3/10.

This afternoon a RNlAF F16BM had a smal accident during landing at Eindhoven Airport. Read more here (sorry, it's in Dutch):
http://www.ed.nl/eindhovenregio/article1990879.ece" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The article states it's not know if there were any injuries, but judging from the picture there weren't. Maybe someone witnessed it?

I actually believe it was part of the current exercise being as realistic as possible. There was 'trouble' with a running EPU during the former deployment as well, where not even the tower or fire brigade were really sure that the whole thing was staged until the emergency procedures were fully concluded. A pilot being 'blinded' by lasers was staged the same way.

This OPEVAL-excercise, apparantly, is serious business, so expect the unexpected :D

Call me a scepticist :wink:

Regards,

Stephan

They were busy all day (p)reparing the F-16 to be towed away late afternoon.It looked very real to me.
Even the road (on base) near the F-16 was closed sometime this morning.
However the road outside was still open. Also other planes still used the the nearby taxiway.
