Spending our third day at Ramstein Air Base, we saw 4 A-10's en 4 F-16's refuelling with al Mildenhall KC-135, so we knew there was some flying activity at Spangdahalem. After the emergencylanding of the SP F-16 @ ETAR, we decided to leave and try our luck at Spang. We hoped for some SP A-10's beacause it was probably our last chance to see them...

And we were lucky... 4 A-10's en 8 F-16's flew a late mission. Great sight in the evening sun!! :)

USA (66-0217) MC-130P direction ETAR, RCH1012


When we arrived two A-10's came in. One of them the 992, the other one wasn't read. In the shelterarea two F-16's were seen. One was not readeble, but we read the other one as 350/SP. We were pretty sure about the 350, and that would make it the 87-0350. But that should be a Aviano F-16 according to MASR and Scramble D-base. Can somebody confirm that the 350 is now a SP F-16, or is it a misread????

We also saw a C-130 crossing the field in the direction of Ramstein with callsign RCH1012. According to SBS this should be a MC-130P with serial 66-0217. Confirmation needed.

Hi, did someone know wich 2 A-10's landed at SP at the end of the day. Wen we arrived, 2 A-10's made a couple of touch and go's before they land. I think the time was around 18.45 ( I guess ).

The two A-10's that made a couple t&g's were the 80-0275/SP and 81-0962/SP.

Rabbit, it was indeed MC-130P with serial 66-0217

For sure it wasn´t 350. A Block 40 will never switch to an Block 50 unit!

Taken from the scramble database..

it could be either:
91-0351, 91-0352 or 91-0360
All SP birds.

I thought I read 350 too, multiple times. But if it can't be the 87-0350 it will have been a misread. Most logic candidate seems to be the 360, since I am absolutely sure about the "3.0"
